Sakumono beach is located in the capital city of Accra at the harbor city Tema. It is one of the most rated beaches in Ghana due to it nearness to the Tema harbor and the Nungua Junction mall. As we all know the fun we get at the beaches, I am going to tell you some things you can do at the Sakumono beach.
Things do at the Sakumono Beach
1. Swimming
Swimming is the main purpose for visiting the beach but the fun expats enjoy from Sakumono beach is the tan or sunbath from the sunlight. This act of sitting or lying in the sun is good for darkening the skin and also causes relaxation for the stressed up.
Swimming itself burns lots of calories, controls weight management and strengthening the muscles. Thinking of tanning your skin, then Sakumono beach has got you covered.
2. Fishing
Fishing is reserved for people in the occupation of fishing who uses boats and canoes to catch fishes for commercial purposes. Sakumono where the lagoon connects to the sea and being a fishing hub, individuals go there to fish using the traditional hooks and lines.
It is fun and very adventurous trying to catch fish with this technique but sometimes results to a waste of time as the hook may not trap any fish if you are not experienced but there is no harm in trying but its really loving to see a catch.
3. Horse Riding
Another exciting experience at the beach of Sakumono is the horse riding. With just a little cedi, you can have a ride and feel that pride on horse backs. For first timers, don’t worry, the horse riders have got your back to take you through your adventure.
4. Live music with food and drinks.
The iconic bars and pubs at the beach have got you covered in terms of soaking you with live musical performances of music of all kinds such as jazz, country music, reggae, highlife, afro and what have you.
Dancing to that music of your choice along with your favorite local and exotic drinks and dishes, makes the pleasure and vacation a memorable one.
