Melasti Beach is a clean long-stretch of white-sand beach with beautiful formation of limestone cliff. During low tides, you can walk out to see and touch the soft corals with many starfish living among them. The water is crystal clear, and lush green seaweeds are at their natural state.
There are several beach clubs nearby with pool and good selections of food and drinks. The sunset view from this beach is beautiful. There is an entrance fee to enter the beach. Many newlyweds go there to take photos on the beach and the cliff.
Where is Melasti Beach?
Uluwatu is a region on the south-western tip of the Bukit Peninsula of Bali, Indonesia. It is home to the Pura Luhur Uluwatu Temple. The name Uluwatu comes from ulu, meaning ‘’land’s end’, and watu, meaning ‘rock’. This is where the Melasti Beach can found.

There are not many options for water sports besides swimming in the calm, turquoise water of the Indian Ocean which will spend your entire day. The Melasti Beach is one of the cleanest beaches in Bali and the perfect place to come and relax and soak up some Bali sun.
Pantai Melasti is made up of three parts. During low tide, little rock pools form along the shoreline of the middle part and create a perfect place to cool off that attracts visitors. On the east of the beach, you will come across a naturally formed cape from limestone, and on the west side is the best place to see the sunset.
The beach is also surrounded by cliffs and if you look closely, you will find a number of viewpoints with stunning views of the ocean.
Melasti Beach has added convenient amenities for visitors. There are toilets, showers, and changing rooms on site. There is also a convenience store, several little Warungs (local eatery) and a large parking lot to accommodate beach lovers. Their arena is there to entertain you with ceremonies, live performances and all you can think of.
What time is best to visit Melasti Beach in Bali?
Bali experience two weather conditions which is the dry season and wet season. The dry season is between May and September where they experience warm sunny days with an average temperature of 30ºC guaranteed. The wet season also last from October through April and while it is still warm and sunny it’s defined by occasional downpours that often appear seemingly out of nowhere.
Visitors are to plan according to their preference, however early morning sunrise strolls, sunbathing in the hot sun during the day, late afternoon for sunset, anytime is a good time really to enjoy a blissful beach experience from the Melasti Beach.
