Fort Victoria Cape Coast is another monument of slavery near the Cape Coast Castle preserved in good condition attracting tourists for its historical significance and impressive structure
Fort Victoria was built on the site of a previous fort that was constructed in 1712. The fort was later renamed from ‘Phipp’s Tower’ to Fort Victoria in honor of Queen Victoria of Great Britain.
The fort is situated in the western region of the Cape Coast Township in the Central part of Ghana and is perched on a hilltop, affording a scenic vista of both the town and the Atlantic Ocean.
Originally used as a lookout post for signaling purposes, Fort Victoria has been preserved and is now a popular tourist attraction. Despite its age, the fort is still in relatively good condition and provides a glimpse into Ghana’s colonial history.
The fort’s opening hours are 9:00am to 4:30pm.

| Foreign Children | USD 2.00 or its equivalent in Ghana cedis |
| Foreign Students with ID | USD 7.00 or its equivalent in Ghana cedis |
| Adult Foreigners | USD 10.00 or its equivalent in Ghana cedis |
| *Entrance fees were reviewed in February 2013, hence visitors are recommended to contact for the update of the current fee. |
